Lucas oil or cen-pe-co. I would run either of those 2 over amsoil, but I still like amsoil. This thread is full of nothing but busting balls and its really going nowhere... Its starting to sound like dieselplace or DF, this is not tech but opinion (myself included) I say just close this thread other wise we'll have 20 pages of worthlessness in a few days

It's not that good Jess. There is better stuff out there if you are a purist and want the ultimate. Plus, this is not the fluid you want if you're racing. I did some testing with a Tech 2 and watched the adapts with different fluids. The Transynd and Torque shift needed more pressure to lock the clutches compared to Dex3. Citgo needed less pressure to lock the clutches than all the other fluids. I am now going to test the new Lucas oil stuff.

Ever done any testing with scheifers Mike?

No and I should have but I wasn't doing this stuff when I was a Sheiffer dealer. Their fluid is great and so is Transynd and Torqueshift. Mobil 1 Dex 3 might just be the dark horse out there.
Transgo did a crude test years ago by boiling different fluids in a pot with a thermometer to see which fluid took more heat to boil. Amsoil won that with Transynd a close second and Mobil 1 atf third. What did this tell us? Jack shit as it had no bearing on fluid to clutch coefficient ( pressure to lock a clutch ). I've tested the old type F fluid which is still one of the best locking fluids around in an Alli and it didn't fare well. It could not handle the heat. best fluid I have tested is Citgo. I am told it is the only hand made pure synthetic. I asked what hand made meant. No one could answer the question but the stuff is awesome. I use it.

What's this?? :) Very active thread. You all make good arguments as the things you mention do happen out there. Other dealers have sent me "overboard" as well. There are still a few good ones out there. As a sponsor on this forum, you can tell my involvement is limited, as it is on others, based on these reasons. I am there for information if it's needed. If I have ever offended anyone, I apologize, but I'm not aware of it.
I like the product and have had success with it. Not all of us push it down the throat. :thumb:
