Cougar....Couple of things...

1. I am not going to waste all my time reading all that shit lol

2. Where is the hostility comping form? You seem to be after me, and I am just saying amsoil seems like a pyramid scheme, and I never said nothing about Amway lol...calm down a bit.

3. I do have pretty good knowledge how pyramid schemes work (agree they are illegal yet you can run them certain ways that are legal).

4. I know how Amway works, and yes some products are good, but that is the product behind the sales...IT A FREAKING PYRAMID SCHEME NO MATTER WHICH WHAT YOU LOOK AT IT....I HAVE PLENTY OF FRIENDS THAT DO IT AND TRY TO SIGN ME UP EVERYTIME I SEE THEM...YOUR BLIND IF YOU DONT SEE THAT AND HOOK UP WITH AMWAY...

5. typical pyramid schemes have weak BS products, Like a pill that provides 8914718924 MPGs, or a medicine that cuts fat without working out, or an oil that is the best no matter who says what.

You either are associated with amsoil or Amway by the way you post. Calm down a bit, dont tell me I dont know what I am talking about. I spent enough years in college to learn a few things, and I am guessing if you are hooked up with either of the above, you skipped that lifestyle and went straight to work from high school.

Wow. That as got to be one of the most arrogant and ignorant things I've ever had the pleasure of reading. And I'm not speaking from a perspective that has anything to do with buying or selling anything.

I agree it sounds arrogant...How ever if you read his post to me...it wont sound as bad...

He basically called me out as an idiot because of what I think (or know in my case, and not ever saying he was wrong) a pyramid scheme is....

Im not trying to be the dick he is making me out to sound...it may just be coming out wrong as I try to say what I feel.

EDIT: And another thing....I could give a F what some people think. I am entitled to my own opinion here just like everyone else in this thread. If someones too much of a puss to step up to the other that posted along the same lines of what I posted (and riled up cougar) then who really gives a shit. ( i can see whay they see its easier t pick me out of the crowd and roll with it). Ill say what I think and move along. If someone is going to get caught up in trying to save the amsoil world from what I or 8374820401 people say about it, well than thats just sad.

EDIT #2: I re read what I posted and you quoted, and yea it does sound harsh and I sincerely take that back for saying it like that. I meant that if you are hooked up in a situation like that and you you think its not some scheme (yet a majority of the world does believe [proof all over the net]) and that it is a legitimate way of doing business, then you either missed something in school, or took the wrong classes to speak about it.

WOW,

I can't stay out of this one.

Question 1) Why won't Amsoil pay to have their products tested like other major oil companies ? But yet they claim their product is better.

Question 2) Why do all the dealers try to sign you up instead of sell you a product, if I was a consumer Why the "F" would I want to deal with more shit so I can save $3.00 on an oil change ?

Question 3) If your sole focus is siging up people under you then you have bought into the cult, drank the Kool-AID and are waiting for the spaceman in the comet.

Question 4) Anyone ever here of Primerica, it's Amway for life insurance, I sat through one of those meetings in 1993, I bought the insurance because the price was good but ran for the door when I looked at the marketing scheme ( PYRAMID ).

A corporation is just like the Government in structure, except corporations make profits and Governments spend them. Everyone needs a job, and yes some companies pay performance bonuses to supervisors based on the people under them and the amount of efficiency they create in the corporation.

Is is a pyramid scheme when you have a company and hire someone to do work ? You are in fact making money off of them. Or is it not a pyramid scheme because you are not requiring them to pay a sign up fee, buy a minimum amount of product to keep there status, and require them to keep signing up new people ?

If you like AMWAY, Mar Kay, Pampered Chef, whatever.

The only thing you get in these schemes is a bunch of pissed off friends and family members and a bunch of false hopes and lies.

:happy2:

But that's what makes America great, everyone has a chance to make someone else rich, the goal is to be the guy getting rich isn't it.

I disagree. I'm sure that's true with some things out there, but not all. You'll get pissed off friends if you're an ass and keep hammering them about it once they declined. You'll only get false hopes if you go into it with the wrong mindset. If you get involved in Amsoil, Amway, Mary Kay, etc with the "Hey, I'll pay my membership fee, sit back and watch the money roll in" expectation, you definately will be setting yourself up for failure and disapointment. No one I've ever talked to about Amway has ever lied to me or made me expect that it's a get rich quick scheme. I've always been told it will take a LOT of work. If you don't put any effort into it, you'll never get anything out of it.

Granted, there are plenty of BS schemes out there, but Amsoil and Amway are not two of them. Seriously, Amway has been around since 1959, has been BBB accredited since 1979, and currently holds an "A" rating with the BBB. Do you really think Amway would still exist just about 52 years later if it was illegal, a scam or scheme? Do you really think the Gvt would let them continue to do business? Do you really think the BBB would give them an "A" rating? Yes, there where problems years ago, mostly due to "bad apples" dissapearing with money meant for their downline and people getting stuck with product that they where required to stock, but both those problems are gone now.

Just because you don't like something, for whatever the reason, doesn't mean it's a scam, illegal, BS, etc. It may not be for you, but that's fine. Nothing is for everyone.

Part of the problem is everyone is taught that the only way to be successful is to go to school and get a "good job". That's bull. The ONLY way to truly be successful and have any measure of control of your life is to work for youself. Granted, you can fail (and you really can't fail much worse than getting "downsized" from your job), but when you succeed working for yourself, you will be far more successful overall than you would if you where working for someone else. But like everything else, working for yourself isn't for everyone. If you like working for someone else, so be it.

:)

I make way more money doing what I do then trying to sell things that I can buy at any store.

Amway sells through direct marketing.

If it works for you then great, in those types of companies less than 1% make any real money, I am guessing less than 10% make 90% of the money, the other 90% make the remaining 10%.

My wife get's asked all the time to goto a Lia Sophia Jewelery Party, or someone was just at a party and needs to have one so they can get a free necklace, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Electrolux, Rainbow, Kirby, all multilevel marketing companies.

Primerica, Amway, Amsoil, Mary Kay, CutCo all multilevel marketing.

What does Amway offer to me the consumer that I can't get from a normal grocery store or department store ??

Convince me that I will save serious money on every purchase and maybe I will change my mind.

Most of the things you can get from Amway that you can't get from the store are the exclusive things such as their XS energy drink, Nutrilite Double X Multivitamin, and the various SA8 detergents and such. Granted, you can get similar things at the store, and it might actually be cheaper at the store, but I can tell you that the producs that I've used work well. I'm not going to go into all the products I've used and liked, just two. When I take the Double X, I definately feel better than I did when I was taking centrum (or nothing). The XS is similar to redbull in cost (I think... I've never actually looked at redbull), but is far better for you. Where Redbull is mostly caffine and sugar, XS has no sugar, no caffine (I forget what it does have that's similar to caffine), and is LOADED with vitamin B12 (and I can tell you it's GREAT for helping hangovers... There's a story behind that one:rofl:). And the nice thing (IMO) about Amway is if you're interested in the products but aren't interested being an IBO, you can be signed up as a customer for FREE. If you see something you like, you can order it and it'll be at your door in a few days. If not, no big deal. It didn't cost you a dime.

I'll admit I don't make any money doing it, but I don't loose any either. I have no hard feelings against anyone at Amyway or my upline, nor do I feel deceived. I do like the products and at the moment, treat my IBO membership like a costco or sams membership.

YMMV and to each their own

Dude! My wife does all those damn Lia Sophia parties here. Hate having all them damn women over here and I gotta be outta the house for hours. It is a joke though. She was all excited after listening to the speech and so I entertained the idea not to crush her temporary dreams and explained it was all a joke. Nothing like working your ass off for someone else to make money or for a free $100 necklace that really equates to $3 in real life.

Everyone looks for the easy way to make money nowadays screwing whoever they can in the process. I guess Im old school in busting my ass and tearing up my body to make a few dollars. Thats ok as our type tends to rest easy at night knowing we arent screwing people.

Does anyone else think these idiots are worse than used car salesmen or telemarketers? I am so sick of them and their answers. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. I would not use amsoil in anything because of this.

I agree 100% Mike...I would not use any of their products because of their salesmen (and sales tactics and "documents/tests") I've encountered.

Mike L sure started a good one but i sure agree him. AM SOIL might be a good oil but please do not attempt to peddle the product as the be all and end all. It is no better then a lot of other oils.
