I wouldn't buy it from dmax store or alligator they are great companys but only sell parts if you need help with the install you are SOL

How do you figure? I was down at alligators shop this weekend and they are great. Not to mention they rebuild allisons in house so i dont know where you get your info that they cant help with installation.

Are you building it yourself? If not drive down to Tony's and save yourself shipping, 13% HST and brokerage. You'll be further ahead in the end.

well to answer your original question, i bought the dmax 5 kit from dmax store....great service, great price, and shipped it quick.

the dmax 5 kit is the same thing as the ppe stage v kit, both come with ml converter. i was also told by a reputable person that these kits are also the same as the older suncoast kits....not the gmax kits...and they are great kits for the price.

with that being said my tranny guy just finished the install on my truck...my dad is going to pick it up in the morning since im currently deployed....the builder said it went in nice and smooth, the kit didn't come with some seals that he replaced and they were only 20 bucks for the new ones

also i was told there a few special tools you'll need if you are building it yourself...they say an allison is nothing like a regular tranny just my .02

Is that why they call me for tech?

They are not the same as the Suncoast kit. I re designed it last year for Alto.
The truth is there is only two Alto kits and everybody buys them.
Distrubutors set a minimum sell price to the public to protect all their dealers from whores who are willing to make 5.00 per sale because they sell out of their garage or their trucks. They have no overhead and don't pay taxes. They pocket all the money.
The whores will sell the same kit without a name to stay out of trouble so they can compete with all the other whores working out of their garages and trucks.
You can always spot a whore when you see huge bright pictures in their sig.

I dunno about the rest of you but it creeps me out when I see Tranny and Whore used in the same paragraph and post! Must be a Cali LA thing! :roflmao:

All I know is there should be a list of those out there wanting to save $50 bucks on a DIY kit and then come back asking for help when the install didn't work out.
