Got a pile of parts here and enroute to put on...
Turbo(366/74/.83 T4 gated with high flow compressor housing),
timing gear housing,
flywheel housing,
AC stuff,
heat/sound barrier stuff,
got GSK and 2095 plug for the pump,
going try to find someone that doesn't have a mental break down when I ask them if they can bench flow my pump at it's current setting.. guys I talked to at CDS and WCD both had issuse when I called them...
Maybe when all said and done swing by Firepunk and get it dynod

Since Engine/trans will be out... going to clean the oil mess off the bottom of the cab and frames put some heat reflective stuff in the Engine side of the floorboards as mentioned earlier then some more inside

Which heat shield stuff did you go with?

Haven't bought any yet...
I've used the Jegs 70502 stuff on my Malibu wagon..thinking that or something similar that can handle oil/fuel/heat for Engine bay and underside of the floor boards and Engine side of firewall..
Due dynamat extreme inside and top with dynaliner..
The underside and Engine bay is best done with Engine/transmission out.. be able to clean the surfaces best

Dynamat is claiming upwards of 150° temp reduction when the extreme and liner are used together on one side... Shoot 40° temp drop would be nice... Either way in looking at investing good bit of $$$ in heat/sound barrier product.. probably more once said and done..
floorboards has roughly ~40sqft basic 7.5 wide 6' long on the inside and I plan on doing 3 sides bottom/top of the floor and bottom of the roof plus sides which is ~21sqft a side and another 12-15 for the back wall..
Close to 150-200sqft of surface is going to get covered

Wow thats a lot of area to get covered. Almost worth finding another cab and doing it the way you want while making money with that one. How expensive are cabs for those things?

Finding an extended cab is a pita... Frieghtliner would order me one VIN specific... 40-50k and 2-3 month wait..
New one is 100k I'm still well under 1/2 that invested..

Dynamat is good stuff but you’re paying a lot of money just for the name. I used Raammat for sound deadening inside my truck. I don’t know how I would hold up on exterior use or what kind of temperature reduction you would get. The people that work there seem to be pretty honest so I’m sure they can advise you. Inside you’re going to want to use some heavy carpet padding and mass loading vinyl and or rubber flooring. It takes a lot of mass to block the heat and noise these trucks make.

The raammat
250 degree temp rating (any higher rating is a moot point, the vehicle would already be on fire so we shoot for realistic numbers and spend our resources on making the performance better instead;)

Apparently they've never had anything near exhaust.... Haven't found a sound reduction avg yet..

I would give them a call. Just because they rate it at 250° doesn’t mean it won’t take more. The intended application being interior I don’t know that I would spend money to rate/test it higher if I was them.

Just talked to Jason at raamat...
He wasn't too excited about 800-900° steel temps ~4" off the mats surface, definitely wanted the stuff inside the cab and not outside the cab.. couldn't give any heat drop numbers either.... I would like to think that bare metal and their basic sheet would drop heat transfer XX° adding additional mats/OEM mats would increase heat reduction transfer.. that's how insulation is rated right? R-values

Did say sound deadening was 5-6DB drop on avg basically going from yelling to normal voice for conversation..

i would bet Levi would be happy to make a giant blanket to cover the under belly of that big bastard. be curious what the cost would be for that. might be a viable solution honestly

Transmission blanket and cover the exhaust manifold and turbo would probably make a huge difference

Don't get think you guys understand how much floor space there is under the cab...the door seals are 76" apart. The window sills on out dmax are 68-69" apart. the biggest thing that heats everything up is the wash off the radiator.. while some come out the front wheel wells..you can feel the heat at the back of the cab when the fan is on..

So what is different about your truck compared to all the other ones of similar model/vintage that makes the heat such an issue? The no a/c? I’m sure there are hundreds of thousands of similar vintage trucks like yours running around that I don’t believe have experienced the same problem.

One company I worked for had basically a similar cab/front half of the chassis in picker trucks that never had a problem with heat with outside temps nearing or past the 100’s. They also ran them in Oklahoma and Texas.
