Less than ideal injectors/nozzles can affect EGT and smoke output, but should not be the cause of a low boost condition.

If you pressure test on the atmo, I would just get a big PVC cap and thread an air fitting into the middle of it. Be SUPER careful though because even with 10psi if that thing pops off there its going halfway to the moon :D :thumb:

Retard moment.

left compressor cover v band loose on the 88mm major boost leak. Surprised the compressor didn't hit the housing. I better go buy some lottery tickets. I drove probably 20 miles like that. smh

Looks like the driver side Intercooler connection is leaking a good bit too.

Glad you found some leaks, not at a dead end. Also, for future reference if you dont already know, dont be afraid to drive your small charger out of its map boost wise, the map changes drastically when it is operation in an artificial environment as it does in a compound turbo setup. Too many people see the system working as two separate compressors, where the small charger makes initial boost and then should be bypassed to allow the bigger turbo to compress the higher boost figures.

So looks like my intercooler has a nice big hole in. Pressure I've to 7 psi and you can hear/feel air rushing out.

I can't tell exactly where it is but it is right down by the driver side connection, where the end caps are welded on. Damn.

Going to see if I can glob some rtv on it for the time being until a new one shows up. Atleast I have 1 boost leak fixed, still going to the track wednesday regardless to see if it will click of a 10.9:D

get some JB weld, cut the very bottom flat piece of aluminum that runs the length of the core about 4" from the side tank you think the leak is at and it should come out of the tank if its leaking where im pretty sure it is. then gob some JB weld on it. mine held that way till it blew the other corner out.

What's the fun in that james...besides if he does it up right he can jb weld small leds in place and it'll be a light bright board lol
