First tank 8.1 mpg second tank 9.1 covering740 miles.. been pulling timing like a mofo. Compared to what was running with stock pistons. Fired up quickly in the 20*F Wisconsin air this morning. Smoked white for about 30 seconds. Will have another450 miles on it by tonight

between sticking vanes and VVT fluxuctuations.. its very annoying and i wonder if it will actually cause then shaft to break... :(
had a run form portsmouth OH ( ohio side of the ohio river) to coatesville pa.. ran US52 to I64 to I77/79 to I68.. that route you are either going up or down.. filled with several dozen 5% and 6% grades rolling 25,000lb. the screen shot is of me pulling one of the 5% grades as i was nearing the top... im sure it doesnt help mpg at all

ODO is at 171700.. thats just under 30k on the engine, seams to be running better with the warmer temps.. or at least more responsive..
some how manage to lose 3 of the 4 brakes this week on the trailer (electric connections) got all those reconnected new trailer plug as well, steering box started leaking and getting loose.. gets replaced today.. and off course its not the same as the regular 3500 IFS GM400 trucks.. also to get king pins finished as well..and brakes are the same..
the only thing i havent touched is the tranny and rear end internally..
ifs 3500 brakes just aint going to fit in this caliper

side note allison would be nice but wasnt a viable($$$) option 10 months ago...
running 4.10 i would have a better off the line and cruise ~400rpm lower then i currently do..
ally 3.10*4.10=12.71.... 4.1*.7=2.87
4L85 2.48*4.63=11.48...4.63*.75=3.47
tranny fluid still smells good... gotten little brownish though.. :|

first real issue with the tranny at 194,000 miles... thats roughly 110,000 mile towing heavy...

pulled a very steep grade at slow speed.. :( threw a P0752 shift solenoid A vlv stuck on... good news no clutch stuff in the pan.. might need a VB though new solenoids are in tomorrow..
