Dont ignore what I said about hearsay, either. That can come back and bite you in the ass.
I know it already has

So what have we learned?
How is that helpful? If you don't have anything useful to say, then why say it?
Comedic value would be a reason no?
I am still trying to figure out how 600hp won't get you in the 12's.

Altitude. Weight. Inexperience.I am still trying to figure out how 600hp won't get you in the 12's.
1. I don't run that tune at the strip.
2. I'm at 7100 DA
3. Have crappy track prep
If you want to give feedback on how to get into the 12's with my current setup, I'm all ears. If you have anything to say about diesel, I'm all ears.
600 got me a 12.6@107 at full weight
You know there is more to a tune then max US.
How was that 600 calculated?
I'll be honest, yes I did 596 hp with a .18 correction factor. The tunes I run at the strip are 520-530 ish, mph is 99.
Now a buddy with a 2900 us tune and s475 over stock did 13.2@105. With work on the launch he could probably break into the 12's. That's with twins though
Altitude. Weight. Inexperience.
~575hp got me consistent 12.20s with a 12.14 best @ 6450lbs w/1.6x-1.7 60fts, but d/a is much better than in Utah.
I still dont understand how you guys with twins or big singles/dual fuelers/etc arent faster than that, even at 7000lbs.
You'll have to drop a LOT of weight from the truck, use sticky tires and work very, very hard on your starting line procedures and 60fts in order to get a high 12 at your elevation with the tune you run. Thats the reality of your situation.
Guys the elevation is a huge killer. Especially with larger singles than stock. Were you referring to the UT guys when you said you don't "understand how you guys with twins..."
I believe that twins work a lot better than a single in high elevations, simply because the larger charger pressurizes the air before it even enters the primary and "fools" the primary into thinking that it's receiving 15+14.1 (or whatever the oxygen density is at the given altitude) psi.
Now let me ask this. Would this work? Having an s475, s480, or s483 over the 72 just to increase the air?
Is the key for higher elevations to have a lot of air? I know some use nitrous to get the oxygen they need but that's not going to work on my truck
