Was it one of the middle bolts Trent? I know when we did Simon's after we stretched all the bolts and torqued everything down, we let it sit for 12hrs and sure enough there were a couple that were loose. They were in the middle-the ones you are supposed to start with.

no it was the outer bolt right above the end glow plug drivers side , I am pretty certain i forgot to tighten because it was the very last stud i did on that side , and it was like 4:30 AM , i called it quits the night and was supossed to finish that stud the next day and think i just moved onto the next side .

I went out and checked the upper Radiator hose this morning and not much pressure after sitting overnight then cracked the cap and no air came out ..... I will be driving this weeking to see if i can make it do something but as of right now i have top say its good

The reason you are supposed to tighten and loosen the bolts 4 times is because they stretch. But they are not supposed to stretch after that

Interesting....yet after leaving them over night the #2 bolt in the tightening sequence was under tq on both sides

These bolts where stretched 4 times and left over night.

I realize what is supposed to be GOOD but it wasnt

I think when you are starting with a fresh gasket it becomes alot more important to re-check because the gasket will "squish" and could settle after a bit. But i am def no expert , I botched up my own head stud job :joker:

That is kind of scary. I have about 3000 miles on my HG and studs. I am keeping my fingers crossed

You could be right. There must be a reason GM reccomends waiting 12hrs and then retorquing-that could be why.
