I highly recommend going over to PCMHacking.net. A lot of smart guys over there that might be able to help. They mostly play with gasoline ECM's, but the concepts and methodologies used are basically the same as you are wanting to do on this diesel ECM.

There are some very good Bosch guru's out there, if you can find one to tackle it. As you can see in the video, just learning to use the tools is it's own months long course. With proper a2l or map file, it speeds up the searching process a good bit.

Update on the turbos.

Got the pedestal built. Going with AN fittings and stainless braided line for the feed and drain to the turbos. Hope fully they will handle the heat up in the valley. Still searching for someone that will be able to hack the LMM file, i joined PCM hacking forum so maybe will find someone on there.

Deciding on how i want to do intercooler piping. I like the idea of keeping everything parallel including the turbo intakes. That way i would end up with a air filter behind each headlight but that would required fuse box relocation or replacement with something smaller. Also thinking about doin a dual intake y bridge, but that would keep each bank completely seperate from each other, i suppose i could have the y bridge crossover and also make it so left feeds right and vice versa. undecided on that since i also like the look of the valley being feed with one big 4 inch pipe.

low mount A/C and alternator are panning out very nice. There is plenty of real estate to hide them on the bottom right side of engine.IMG_8240.jpgIMG_8239.jpg

Ive been staring at coolant diagrams alot today. Someone please make this makes sense lol.

Regarding heater core coolant lines. My one hose goes into the lower rad hose so lets call that pump suction.

In the picture below: 1) is where a LB7 other heater core hose goes into, supposed to be "pressure coming from heads" cavity under thermostat, right? So that would reason that position 2 is also cavity under the thermostat, BUT position 2 is also pump suction. Is there enough of a pressure differential at position 2 that my heater core would function? This seems like it would work as much as it seems like it wont..... ive definetly been staring at diagrams to long 🤪

Oh, or would the bypass not really se any flow once the thermostat opens? but it has to because thats where the turbo coolant comes back, which also must mean it a "suction side" someone please confirm or deny or pour me a drink.

#2 would depend on the thermostat position, closed it recirculating the coolant back to the pump, open or blocks the tube forcing most of the coolant to go towards the radiator.
Should be some flow, but I doubt as much if it was dumping into the low pressure side of the radiator

Normal #2 is part of the turbo coolant circuit.. which I can't remember which way it flows

That is exactly what I needed to hear, I totally forgot about the t stat closing that off.
