Thanks everyone for the help and fast responses. Another member on here happened to have a set of studs and gasket that I just purchased from him. One of the many reason I love this page :thumb:

Got my head studs and gaskets the other day. Still got to figure my trans issue. I'm picking up a stock trans in the morning for back up if I can't get mine fixed so I can drive the truck. Then I'll rebuild my trans if its shot. Should have my twin kit soon. I'll put the twins on when I do the studs. It's taking longer than I wanted to get this truck where I want it but it'll be worth it in the end.

It wouldn't hurt to pick up a bottle of ultra torque the small packets that come with the studs doesn't get very far when you put a good amount on

Stopped by hsp today to see the progress of my twin kit. It's almost done. Should have it next week. Thanks to all the guys at HSP.

They use QC coating. They do amazing work. They'll be doing misc engines parts of mine when I do the head studs.

I may or may not have a big pile of stuff there as we speak haha. I just wish I had done my motor parts while it was all apart.

They have parts laying everywhere there. They may have your parts. Every time I go there. There's always something new to check out.

Picked up the twin kit today from hsp. Bad news is I had planned on having the truck together by end if march beginning of April. Well that's not going to happen now. The good news is I've decided to pull the motor and do a full build :D

My original goal of 600-650hp has now turned into an 800-850 hp build.

I figured there's no sense in rebuilding the trans and redoing the top end to possibly put a window threw the block a few months later.

Well it's been awhile since I've updated anything. Parts have been stacking up literally. Almost have everything I need to start my build.

Rods came In today and I felt like a fat kid in a candy shop.

Here's what I ment by stacking up parts. A bunch of goodies from hsp, merchant, arp, and whatever else. Trans parts should be here by the end of the week or next week.

Well I pulled the trigger and ordered the stage 2 EDP alt firing cam last night. It's on a 2 week back order but I'm still gathering parts anyways.

Got my trans parts from suncoast the other day also. Big thanks to George for piecing me together a kit. Also finally tracked down a 6 speed input drum assembly to help with holding the power.

Just need to figure out what I'm going to run for pistons and im ready to tear the motor out and send it to the machine shop.

Either fingers pistons, mahle race cast or my stock pistons c&c. I'll need .075" reliefs in the pistons for the cam. I want to drop to around 16.5:1 for CR. I'm looking for around 850-900hp on the hot tune with 100% overs.

Turbo setup will be an hsp twin kit with an s480 over a 68mm 4094. So around 60-70psi of boost. But with the stage 1 SoCal heads it may be lower.

Well some of you may know I had some things come up and could no longer pursue my engine build. Kind of a bummer but at least I didn't have to get rid of the truck.

Trucks been sitting since January with a bad head gasket and trans went out also. All happened within 2 weeks.

On the bright side I'll finally be tearing into the truck this weekend and have it running within the next 2 weeks. I had picked up some used SoCal stg 1 heads for my original build that are at the machine shop now getting checked over. Should have them back by Friday. Also picked up some HSP up pipes.

Good thing I have a 5 day weekend next week so I can finally get this running. Putting in some studs with the new heads, new lbz pump, finally installing my hsp twin kit which will be a 4094/480 setup.

Trans is coming out and will be building my spare trans with a 6 speed drum and a SC trans kit. Going to keep my MLG also.

Can't wait to get back in a diesel. Getting tired of driving my s10 around.

Spent a little time wrapping my exhaust piping tonight.

Going to wrap my up pipes when I get them. Also dropped off my lml manifold and passenger manifold at HSP to get them ceramic coated.
