Look at 20,21,22 The Duraflite is better suited for the job but if a truck 60's decent and you have the truck figured out the Allison can do just fine. A 2nd gear start is a simple fix for the short 1-2 shift.
True, but a second gear start with this power will eat converters won't it?

5th and 6th gear in the Allison cause a lot of drag and load on the engine. The front rotating assembly needs a lot of help as it drags power down as well.

I never thought in a million years that Casper would drop out of the top 50... Just shows the progress of the Duramax:thumb:

Almost 8 years in the top 50.
Orange Crush is the only one that has been there longer.
