Amazing how much faster (trap speed) the allison trucks have to go to get an equivalent ET as a duraflite truck!!! Go a good bit faster with less HP is always a good thing!! :woott:

Alot of the duraflight trucks are dedicated drag trucks that don't weigh as much and usually 60' alot better to make the ET better. Funk and me have similar MPH, he is in the high 1.4x and me in the low 1.5x, his ET 6.67 to my 6.73.

Look at Matt's entry at 31, then check out 29, 30, 32 & 33. He's second heaviest, has the slowest MPH but all within a few hundredths on ET. Duraflites must be radically quicker thru the first 1/2-3/4 of the race with the alli trucks quickly reeling them in by the end of the track?? Gear ratio spacing is that much better/optimum for a dmax w/ the duraflite???

The super short towing first gear of the Allison is a major drawback. Truck never has a chance to get loaded before it shifts. The first gear in the 47re is a good bit taller than our first gear. I am out of first gear seems like the first 60'.

Only have four gears instead of five or six.

The duraflite shifts way faster as well.

Look at 20,21,22 The Duraflite is better suited for the job but if a truck 60's decent and you have the truck figured out the Allison can do just fine. A 2nd gear start is a simple fix for the short 1-2 shift.
