Allison 5sp: Odd Symptoms involving Trans and T-case

I just have a PPE Programmer and a CTS2. I have noticed that the PPE clears the codes better. Sometimes the CTS2 won't clear them. It's weird. I would love to know why the Service 4WD keeps coming up on the DIC. I need to have that read using one of the items you listed. Thanks!!

Allison 5sp: Odd Symptoms involving Trans and T-case

Thanks for the info. I'm pulling the front wheels off this weekend, hopefully I can figure something out. I new the sensors affected ABS (kinda obvious I guess), but I didn't know the vehicle speed circuit (speedometer and cruise control) would require any input from those two things.

    Debating straight axle

I grew up on solid front axles. It was tough for me to get used to IFS. But I've worked on both, and the amount of work to do the changeover is beyond what you can imagine. It would be a lot of fabrication. Not worth it to me. If I ever get crazy about wanting a solid front axle, I'll get a...

    Coolant Leak

So ignore the post, no need to put a d-bag comment if the OP didn't meet your standards. This is a place to learn, not get ridiculed for not using proper forum etiquette. I know I shouldn't be ranting, but it gets old when the seasoned forum guys get all high and mighty. This guy may say F it...

    LB7: Dreaded White Smoke

I wouldn't wait either. Bearing replacement is no where near as easy as injectors. I put in a set from LDS last month and now I have no worries about the bottom end. Good price for a great product. And I would get the premium install kit with the new lines if your budget can handle it. I've...

Nice way to welcome the new folks... Usually people from Iowa are a little nicer, you must be a transplant from the east coast.

    mid-injector change update

Nice trick on the weld! I used needle nose vise grips and tapped the handle with a hammer to break the thread lock loose. Worked pretty well. Looking back, the tool would have been nice. I only had one cup pull out, but some of the injectors were really stuck in there Sent from my iPhone...
