    if mike l built the tranny-i wouldnt worry if the torque limiting is turned off the torque tables arent used anyway and i believe that defueling is in the software and cant be shut off

    ive used hpc-high performance coatings in the past for headers and snomobile exhaaust-seemed to work great although i would stay away from the wrap-i tends to weaken metal somehow over time--ive seen lots of headers rot out underneath the wrap alot quicker than the unwrapped ones

    i just hit 50k on the odometer-been runnin no less than 30psi 30 degrees and 1400 egts for 49 of those 50 all is well so far...... except those damn trans cooler lines

    ive noticed the same thing with mine-kinda like its slipping more even though its not-seems to rev higher and theres more of a difference in tow haul mode than before right? maybe its just worn out? i did notice that my trans temps do seem a little higher too

    the same difference as synthetic oil and regular amsoil filters are synthetic lots of othwers are paper and fall apart/clog quickly youll be suprised how soon the filter gets restricted and gets bypassed

    you def should be running an amsoil filter not fram or delco and the myth of mixing dino and synth oil was valid 30 years ago when the 2 woerent compatible but today i dont know of any oils that cause a problem when mixed i think its more of a coincedence and coolant related air/cavitation...

    ive run the amsoil 5/30 since new and have 45k on it now i dont think its the oil causing a problem sounds like a poor flow condition -maybe ck the water pump /serpentine belt for the fan and lower radiator for blockage

    i think starting the engine is not a good idea unless you can load it and get to operating temp to burn off acids best thing is fresh clean oil and filter -pull out batteries and let her set and i agree to empty fuel tank ck coolant condition and temp rating too

    oops -forgot overinflate the tires by about 20psi if you cant unload them also as far as rodents i found that fox/coyote urine stops them pretty good-they sell it in a powder and i make a few "sachets" of them and leave inside engine area and interior-you cant really smell it but the mice do...

    heres a good one- does advancing timing create h/p and kill torque in an otherwise stock lbz lets say i want more h/p and less torque output other than increasing rpm how can i?

    mike- was wondering if you have any insight as to the new efi torque tables for the lbz-are the trannies gonna be falling out with the higher rpm and no torque reduction-ordo ya think they will hold up?
