    when I had my crank balanced, he had to hone the hub to have the proper amount of press, it was too much out of the box.

    I thought at one when digging around I had found a King bearing part number for a main bearing with a +.020" housing bore, I will look again than you could save the block at least.

    IMHO for what you are doing delipping the pistons is not worth the lose of compression. We run a full stock LB7 long block in 2.5/2.6 SB has 100% injectors a 12mm pump 2600+ Pulse and haven't had an issue. we know it is on borrowed time but it just keeps clicking them off.
