I loved the 3794 from Danville. It was the 65mm and it spooled better than the factory turbo. Never had a complaint with the turbo brake. I believe the stage 2r turbos wouldn’t spool or brake as well as the 3794 but I could be wrong. It’s been a while since I looked into it.
Makes the most sense to me. I’ve been curious to start measuring temperatures and see how much performance is gained by cooling the air between the turbos.
Ram air intake, I used the fog light opening and dryer duct. Sealed everything off.

Seal the intercooler better to the grill so no air leaks around it.
It’ll work as long as it fits correctly, but if you’re not wanting to spend the money on known products that’ll fit correctly I don’t see the point of changing the factory parts. They flow just fine
I struggle to get on top of a ball bearing 80mm turbo 87 turbine 1.25ar with a K converter at sea level. It’ll do it but just barely. I think the K would be fine for you
You would have to measure piston protrusion to be able to select the correct gasket. You should take quench into account even though most people do not. I believe they even make a grade D.
