I always wondered about this. Back when I had my colorado I was looking into the LS3 swap but didn't think the frame was wide enough for a dmax.

On Bookface, they do have a few pics in their "mobile uploads" section of the engine being installed. Man, that looks like a tight fit, but it doesnt look like they cut the firewall. I would think that floorpan/tunnel mods would be a definite given the size of the Alli.

It would be cool if there was a write up somewhere on the truck.
These are the kinds of things we should encourage people to post about here.

If you build one. I'd buy it when your done with it. Lol... Well, maybe after it gets freshened up.

There is a guy in phoenix with one. Stock ls3 6.2 out of a Yukon denali. Heads cam intake on pump made 440 hp and that was plenty of power. Rode in it and about crapped a brick.

With that being said, I want to find another colorado.

I hate the double post error in the new app. So annoying.

If they didn't cut the firewall, then I better start looking for a crew cab colorado! I've always wanted one bagged and laid down. Since the tunnel has to be cut to fit, it would be perfect to do a body drop on it. But I would stick with a 4l85e since it's light enough to handle it.

Def has an allí, I sold him the rebuild kit for it
So it is a built trans......or did they just rebuild it with stock components? If they did, why? I was reading the comments on the vid and someone said it lost the second race because the trans slipped. I don't know if that is true but man it would have been easy to build the trans compared to all that other work!

All i know is that it has an alli in it and he purchased a rebuild kit for it. Im pretty sure they just recently built it but could be wrong. With the frictions and steels that were sent, there is no way that thing could be slipping unless it was improperly built

The Denali/Escalade 6.2 is an L92/L9H....similar to an LS3 (or any of the "car" 6.2's), but still some significant differences.

I built a custom harness for a Duramax Colorado swap. It was an LB7 though.

The harness was VERY complicated and in-depth....I made it so it used the factory Colorado underhood fuse block (the Duramax ECM was hooked up to all of the proper "ECM, TCM" etc fuses in the Colorado fuse block...I made it so ABS was retained/working, factory colorado ignition switch, factory cruise control switch....even the factory Colorado instrument cluster (and all cruise control/change oil/etc warning lights) worked with the Duramax.
