Best option for Turbo on stock LBZ

What about just cleaning the vanes and ring? I've heard of some spraying penetrating oil into them and manually cycling it a bunch of time to free it up

    Battery Issues

The proper procedure would be to charge them up. Then let them sit for 24 hr and then load test them with the old style load cell testers The modern testers are impedance or internal resistance testers. A shorted cell in the battery can still have low (good) internal resistance but otherwise be...

October '24 Chat -- Ghosts, Ghouls and Goblins Galore!

I don't think we call them that up here. But we usually get some northern winds around this time that come down from Alaska. Only lasts a day or so normally. While the Santa Ana winds are warm. The winds we get up here usually drop the temperature by up to 10°. It's still dry air though

October '24 Chat -- Ghosts, Ghouls and Goblins Galore!

Northern California is in a severe weather advisory because we are having 15-20 mph winds with 40 mph gusts. PG&E is shutting off power to many areas to prevent fires. 😕 Just imagine if we where hit with a tropical storm. Not even a category 1 hurricane. People here will use any excuse to panic 🙄

If you unplug the injector harness the ficm will detect this and shut down the whole bank. Thus ruining your testing So, either poke needles into the lines or back of a connector and measure there or pull a valve cover

    Start and die

You might have something interfering with the communication lines if you can't connect to the OBD. Like mentioned, try the radio. But may need to dig into it with a meter and measure resistance of the termination resistors through the lines to see if you have any shorts or breaks

Lb7 crank no start 6k rail pressure

Use gasoline over ether if you must use starting fluid. Much gentler. I've used a cap full on the air filter with good success If you don't get a signal at the injectors, and we have verified you are testing it correctly then you'll want to test the control signals from the ecm to the ficm...

Drill and tap two holes opposite sides on the front and put all thread rods in them. Then with a plate with two holes in it at the end of the crank , tighten nuts on the all thread to pull it forward

Lb7 crank no start 6k rail pressure

I think your reading should look something like this. But at 96 volts peak. You might have more variations and kickback spikes but something similar

I'm pretty sure @kidturbo has a smaller hand held one that is fairly cheap that might be up for the task. See if he chimes in on that one
