November '24 Chat -- Thanksgiving, here we come.....you bunch of turkeys!

Just heard that a friends shop burned down. He owns and operates North Pasture Farms. Selling pasture raised cow meat. Estimated loss is around $120k. If insurance doesn't cover it, then he'll have to file for bankruptcy and possibly close for good Cause unknown right now. Said when he went to...

That was some comeback. I was thinking it was going to go into overtime but they barely inched in that field goal for the win. The Texans put up a good first half but couldn't hang on and the Lions started gaining momentum that gave them enough points to stay in it

Tuned lly duramax no added power between tunes

Using the same tool you load the tune with. Read the tune out of the ECM and open the resulting file and compare it to the one you are trying to load into the ECM. If the files are the same then you know the tune loaded correctly and it might be something in the tune itself that is not making...

Tuned lly duramax no added power between tunes

Can you read back the tune and see what it is? Those errors will likely go away when you drive the truck as they were a result of being disconnected from the network

November '24 Chat -- Thanksgiving, here we come.....you bunch of turkeys!

Maybe someone from Idaho can chime in here. I have a friend in Idaho who just voted in person for the first time. He said he went to the voting center and they checked his drivers license to verify he was a legal citizen and eligible to vote. But the weird part is they just grabbed a ballot from...

I don't remember the details, but I think I just needed to tell them my name. Then they punched it in a computer and printed my ballet. So as long as your on the registration list your fine. But no checks or verification at the registration level if done through DMV as many have

Similar to my experience. They didn't sai it was illegal but told me they don't need or require it. They've been adding everyone who gets a driver's license to the voter registration list. Basically everyone, wether legal citizen or not can vote here in California. I know there has been a few...

November '24 Chat -- Thanksgiving, here we come.....you bunch of turkeys!

I voted already. Dropped my ballet off at City Hall last week Interesting, voting in person in California is no different than dropping off a ballot in a drop box. During the mid terms, I went in to my local voting center to "vote in person". But all it was is a computer that printed the exact...

    Check that t-case fluid :0

Ok, quick Google search says ATF is typically around 7 cSt so right down the middle of the 20 weight SAE engine oil range

    Check that t-case fluid :0

Aren't they all measured on different standards so not directly comparable? What standard does ATF and hydrologic oil fall in?

    Check that t-case fluid :0

I put 0W20 in my LMM. Was thinking it would be closer to ATF When I purchased my LLY, I checked the T case fluid when I got it home and was pleasantly surprised it was full. I guess it should have been expected as the owner has the maintenance records going back to when he bought it new. Had...

    NEW in 2024

I'd start with studying the history of diesel and it's progression from the first coal powered one all the way to the common rail we have now. That will give you more information on how they work. You can always back that up with more sources of information on theory of operation. Then when you...

2007 Lmm rebuilt motor, will not run

Make sure do didn't swap crank and cam sensors. You might need a scanner that can read missed crank signal count. And lastly a scope that can show the cam and crank signals. You might also want to inspect the reluctor wheels to see of they are loose or miss aligned
