    Ported heads and bigger valves

    I lost about 7 pounds of boost going with ii race heads. That's not even big boy heads. Lost more when I went to 3.5 inch piping. A lot of variables to it. One thing I see is no one port matches exhaust manifold to head. Witch is huge. Stock heads will make big power but just need help.

    Used the ati tool to press mine on. My last one I destroyed it taking it off but I did get 3 years out of it. As for water pump replace the stud and nut with a allan bolt. Then you dont have to mess with damper at all to do water pump.

    You will be fine. Drive is little bouncy cause of location of tap. Green is my boost. Blue is my drive pressure. This is tune 2 witch is around 1100 pulse with 400 over injectors. In tune 3 boost and drive matched perfectly. I'm sure in tune 4 is where I'll start seeing drive pressure...

    Did you ever find out where this feller goes? It looks like your alignment dowel on the front of the crank gear. But have no idea how it would get on top of the head.

    Not really. Tossed in my spare valve body and it fixed the issue. If I had more time I would had tried valves.

    I use to race them years ago. Always preferred the 86 even though the 88/89 look better. Mine currently has a 295 bore on stock cylinder. Waiting on Duncan to get more cylinders in then I'll go with a 305 powervalve. Mike. It has a +4 swing arm. I dont drag race it. Enjoy climbing...

    LB7: What pistons

    My last engine had 3 years of hell before I lost a crank and cracked the block. Fingers pistons still looked great. On my new build I'm still running fingers. In my opinion fingers cast pistons are plenty for what any non billet crank can handle.

    Are you running the newest style probe? Should be a 1ft lead with Brown insulated wire running to it.
