Air Dog 4G VS FASS Titanium (2016)

Now I'm thinking of going with the G&R sump anyway. I like the built in return. https://www.grdiesel.com/store/fuel-injection/billet-aluminum-bottom-sump-w-integrated-return

Air Dog 4G VS FASS Titanium (2016)

Might as well go with the AD 4G then as far as noise goes and I won't have to buy or install a sump. Sounds like they are not really necessary? People make big power with the stock pick-up. Unless there are other benefits I don't know of? Do they extend the life of the pump?

Air Dog 4G VS FASS Titanium (2016)

If the FASS is really that loud I won't be buying one. I have heard mixed reviews on that. Do you have a draw straw installed with it? Some say they can cavitate and that makes the pumps loud and also shortens the life of the motor. Pulled this from another thread-

You're probably not talking about the new 4G by air dog though right? Trying to keep this thread about the latest offerings.

    New Truck Considerations

That's pretty cool. Probably because you're a good customer to them. I thought on the newer trucks that they had to relay info to GM to get big things warrantied though. Our dealer here used to look the other way for exhaust/programmers but I kinda doubt they would on the newer trucks now...

Air Dog 4G VS FASS Titanium (2016)

I know there are a lot of comparison threads of the older stuff but not in particular of these newer pumps. Was hoping some of you guys who install both of these could help me out. I'm finally gonna buy a lift pump for my truck. Always held off because of how unreliable they were. I was going...

LBZ: Rudys Performance Race Manifolds and Uppipes

If you're in the market for some probably worth giving a shot at that price. I do like the design of Rick's manifolds a little better tho. Just personal opinion.

Replace an injector solenoid without removing injector?

You shouldn't be making more heat with the right solder/gun than the engine itself would produce.

Go for the GM- Deletes, CP3 swap, Lift Pump, ECM/TCM Tunes and you'll be near the 650 mark.

    Traction bars on a zf6

CalTracs actually put the power to the ground and trac bars make it easy to burn out. CalTracs are also cheaper unless building bars yourself.

LLY: oil loss at continuous hi way speed

What MPH are you driving at? I have an 05 and ran the Diablo with some 265's to Minnesota and back from MI years ago driving 75-80 the whole way. I averaged 18mpg there and 19 on the way home (hand calculated). I thought that was pretty good for driving 80 most of the time.

It does sound like you toasted it. Well, hey if you can manage it…it's a good reason/time to get a built trans. But if you don't have plans of adding more power a stock one will do fine and you can find used ones for 1k or less.

Those aluminum pieces look aftermarket as well as those crimp connectors. Cut that stuff off and start fresh with the new harness.
