02 chevy 1500 radio help

Hey guys my sister just bought a 02 1500 I'm trying to install a new radio and I'm completely lost the wiring is nothing like my 04 duramax. Has anyone seen this before?

Those aluminum pieces look aftermarket as well as those crimp connectors. Cut that stuff off and start fresh with the new harness.

You need to follow the rca cables and where the blue wire loom is going. Looks like someone added aftermarket sub/amp/possibly speakers and kept the stock head unit
