    Rear suspension setup

With my truck being gutted in the rear I get away with running 2 springs in the rear. The top one and the 2nd one down is cut off behind the spring perch and on stock shackles. Sits about perfectly level with the tbars dropped all the way in the front. Also have caltracs and rear mounted ranchos...

Anyone messed with anti roll bar?

Got it all on and links done. It's close to the ground 4.5" but shouldn't be an issue it is just a track truck. Should be getting a front end alignment soon after putting on the straight centerlink, also reinstalled the front sway bar with aluminum block frame mounts instead of squishy rubber...

    Question: Best 60’ on a street/strip truck

The funny thing is it seems the heavier trucks 60 better without alot of suspension work. The lighter mine gets the less bite I have on the track.

That was stock engine and couldn't powershift due to clutch clearances being to tight. She will make some more noise this year.

Anyone messed with anti roll bar?

I hope it does, glad to hear. I'm sure on a 2wd it might help more than 4x4. But I'm hoping it helps keep the front traction even.

Anyone messed with anti roll bar?

Yeah I know we still on torsion bars also lmao. I think we are gonna have a good year, slightly more solid engine and actually doing some suspension work. If we could build our own coil overs they would have been on there already.:roflmao:

Anyone messed with anti roll bar?

Yeah we seen a racing rear end setup flipped like this one so that's the route we went, as far as the main tube being solid to the rear end. Mainly trying to keep twist to a minimum to keep traction as equal as we can. The rear of this truck is super soft being only on the top spring and the...

Going for 9s? In the zf?

For the time being, gonna try something new later this year so I dont have to worry about spool or bogging

Going for 9s? In the zf?

I can leave the line in "3rd" or actually 2nd now as long as I have about 12 to 13 psi which just holding the rev limiter will do. This year with valve springs I'm making about 18psi in the same situation as I was making 13psi last year.

Going for 9s? In the zf?

Still probably around 47 to 4800 pounds still on 29"hoosiers. My 4th gear is really like 3rd, but I will still only have to shift 2 times after I launch. I have a hand brake setup just on the rear brakes and have boosted it to 45 pounds on the line with no issue. I can ride the clutch at any...

Anyone messed with anti roll bar?

We are throwing one on the zf truck but wanted a separate thread for any experience with this setup. Seems auto trucks launch smooth enough to not need it. I may not either but cant hurt other than weight wise. This is our setup all done by Jake at straightline.

Going for 9s? In the zf?

Straight center link as well. Gonna set it up like we did last year where it hooked so hard it kept bogging. But gonna try boosty launches with the new clutch and maybe 4th gear start.

Going for 9s? In the zf?

Well it's a new year, last year we took a chance with a 525,000 mile block with a few goodies and hoped everything went well just to break the 6th gear shift fork. Upon fixing the fork I found a few worn parts in the trans that were soon to cause issues so we addressed that and are going to...
