    Transmission issues?

Pressure switch readings 1,3,4,5 should all read Low when in reverse. If not, then you’d have to check for a shift solenoid or pressure control solenoid for being stuck on/off or exhausting when should be applying. A check ball damaged. sticking valve etc. If trans is not slipping at all or...

    Transmission issues?

Couple things I’ve had issues with on these. I’ve had sticking valves in the upper and lower valve body. I’ve also had the check ball get damaged and end up damaging the low reverse piston. The great thing about this trans is that after removing valve body assembly you can air check everything...

    Exhaust/Boost Leak?

I’d say turn on your blower with vent set to outside air, not recirc, and drive it. If you don’t get exhaust smell into the cab then it’s probably not an exhaust leak

Adding factory Bluetooth to a GMT800

I’m definitely on the factory head unit preference side. It always appears to be the cleanest look. Will be checking back to see how yours comes out Josh

    Oval Piston Roll Call!!

Weight matching is the biggest bonus (to me) that I learned a few months ago about his pistons.

Built Allison 1-2 shift flare when cold

Nice to hear you got it all fixed up. Good people like that are hard to find In this world anymore. Thankfully some of them post on this site so it makes it easier to contact them. And I hope you at least tipped them generously for their time and effort

    Parking Brake Adjustment

Yeah the park brake pedal assembly has an adjuster as well built in. Suppose to just push on the pedal a few times to get it to take out the slack on its end. I’m not sure if it’s a clutch maybe like a ratchet pawl style but I honestly don’t know. I do know when you replace the pedal assembly...

01-10 steering box redhead ,PSC ,OEM

Yeah I looked into that Lee rebuild box since they are local as far as state lines go. And yes, you'd drop some serious money into one of his boxes after doing the 3rd bearing with the billet top plate. When on the other hand, the factory box has lasted 180k for me and almost 20 years old. I do...

    New build for the Mistress

I remember in that other post you stating the abuse you said another couple shops found of the #5 main and thrust bearing. But, I also thought you said they figured it was due to having a billet flywheel instead of the standard flex plate/flywheel combo. So what I take from this is that the...

    Lower Shock Bushing

So the vehicle I used to check on this part was a 2013 LML but I believe same control arms as the 2015. Part number for lower shock bushing is 25803377. Cost showed about $15. I didn't find a service procedure for it but they are serviceable and by looking at it I'd say press in and out with a...

    Lower Shock Bushing

I just noticed this on a truck in for service the other day. Shock leaked and rubber done. It looked to me like a bushing that is pressed in. I do not recall if parts department told me it was serviceable though. I’ll find out today.

    New build for the Mistress

.001 is a lot but that’s the info I was interested in James. I’m sure that’s not always the case but it’s good to know and why to measure. And also agreed with 1FastBrick about LS blocks. I’ve seen the same distortion in the caps. And why better doweling the 5th cap 56taskforce? To help with...

    New build for the Mistress

So has anyone ever measured the main cap bores on a new block before? And then installed studs and re-measured the bores? Just factory caps not billet. Just to see how much distortion with the additional clamping force. Kind of curious too just what would a machine shop charge to have to cut...

    Interior - cloth seat replacements?

I’d stick with the foam from the dealer. I went through the seat shop for my driver seat in my 01. I replaced the foam, leather bottom cover, and leather back cover. It’s been about 4 years now and the foam doesn’t feel as dense as the passenger side original. I’m 200lbs so I don’t think I wore...

    New build for the Mistress

Looking good. Did machine shop say, if at all, how much line boring they had to do? Just curious how “untrue” per-se a brand new block is. It would also be fun to know the measurements they got when they torqued the girdle and mains down. And did you happen to mention if Comp keys their cams? I...

Rear invisible trailer camera for factory setup

I checked and parts told me those are both part numbers that are being replaced. Only thing they could come up with is supplier part update and no info on availability.
