    Vacation(s)

I figure I'd start a thread here so people know when I'm going to be gone. It's better to do this vs people thinking I died haha. I will be on vacation 10/30 through 11/17 with incredibly limited capacity as I am taking a trip to Europe with my wife. I would ask anyone please be patient during...

    Hood stack exhaust support brace.

I agree with Josh, I'd try to mount it somewhere on the engine. I personally don't use billet valve covers so I have not encountered that issue. You could maybe use one of the open bolt holes on the back of the head if the turbine housing route doesn't prove easy.

Well there goes my chances of 9s this year

Any extended up-pipe for PPE/ProFab manifolds would work. I've had the best personal luck with Rick's up-pipes but they aren't cheap. I've beat the hell out of mine since 2017 and they haven't expanded, moved, or leaked with multiple years seeing 2000f+ during pulls. I think they're around...

Allison 1000 5 SPD Rebuild Parts

Converter is located. You'd have everything by the end of the week should you choose to order today/tomorrow to account for shipping time. Did you want a new pump? New harness? New speed sensors? New pressure manifold?

    Lb7 idle surge in park

They're reputable so that isn't a concern. Thanks for the quick reply! Do you have any way to data log the truck? Also, as recommended above by another user, checking return rates and balance rates is a great start. With balance rates you'll want to check main fuel rate as well.

    Lb7 idle surge in park

Not to beat a dead horse, where did you buy it from? I've seen MANY Chinese or low rate sellers actually advertise a Bosch part and it will not be a genuine part.

Allison 1000 5 SPD Rebuild Parts

I currently don't have a DK or DL converter here but I am checking with some other dealers to see if they have anything on the shelf. The kit would easily be there by Friday. My next shipment of converters will ship later this week according to Goerend. The only converter I have here that...

    Allison 1000 5 speed rebuild

I would love to help get you squared away! I see you commented in my vendor section, I just replied. Goerend's kits are very well put together. For the average guy the price is hard to beat and the quality of components are top notch. As a dealer, I get to select the clutches in my kits to best...

Time-Sert TS-5000 has never let me down up here in the great white north at removing glow plugs. https://www.wiseautotools.com/time-sert-5000-duramax-diesel-glow-plug-thread-repair-kit/

    glow plugs

Honestly it's possible............... The local parts store (Car Quest, privately owned) boxes match the more common ACDelco styling.

    glow plugs

The ACDelco's I've gotten as 9G locally are in a completely different box. That's where my statement comes from. If other stores beyond my local area are selling the 9G in the GM style box then they may be the same. I buy all mine from the dealership to avoid that issue here locally. Good to...

    glow plugs

I do want to make it very clear that ACDelco ARE NOT the same as Genuine GM. The AC Delco glow plug (9G) are $17-$21 each The GM glow plug (12639701) are $41.63 retail each. As for nuts, I have always used the Merchant Auto nuts ($4.72 for a set of 8).

Yes. I would get the truck to full operating temp and rig a way to get more than 20psi into the cooling system.
