    Very cool job. I was fortunate enough about 6-years ago to go fly on one. "The Aluminum Overcast". All I can say about those brave men that flew them, is that they had to be skinny and not to tall. The tail gunner could have that job. Great ride :thumb:

    Your pulling a brick. That front end, of the trailer, is just a big wall for the air to hit after coming over the truck. Do you pull it a lot? Does the trailer company or someone make an aftermarket bubble for the front end?

    50HP should be fine. The Piute isn't to bad on their prices, but they are cheaper than up in Mammoth. I was up there(Mammoth) 5-weeks ago and gas was almost $5.00 and Diesel was around $4.30 I believe.

    Should be nice. Water levels still aren't too bad. Cheapest place for Diesel, is just outside Olancha at the Indian Casino. Its cheaper that the one in Bishop. Have a safe trip.

    I would back the power down. You will test the tranny going up the Sherwin grade with that power and the trailer. Take it easy going up the grade. I'll be up there in a week and a half. Going to camp at East Fork out of Tom's Place. What part of Mammoth you visiting?

    Well I've put about 600 miles on these and I think their worth it. They are a bit pricey. The best way to describe what they do is, when you go over or through dips/bumps it softens the jolt of it. The approach and departure on bridge over passes is much better.     Put the Sulastic Rubber shackles on the back end. I would say they make the truck ride 50% better. Haven't had a chance to do the washboard freeway yet.
