    I have a single 6" on my 05 that is even with the cab. It drones a bit in town, right around 2000 RPM, and is a little louder when you're mashed. On the freeway it seems quieter than my rear exit 4" exhaust was. No muffler here and I don't mind it at all, haven't really towed with it yet though.

    Just curious what is going on with it. I haven't heard anything in quite some time, did you guys ever get the trans issues sorted out and get it back to the track? That was the big ??? on my mind. Thanks.

    Yeah it would! I have an aluminum cab that I'll be chopping, sectioning, and building a tube chassis for, that will receive a Duramax/Allison, hopefully this winter.

    That's the exact part I was talking about. I didn't say it would have a negative effect on drive pressure, only that it wouldn't do anything for a drive pressure issue at RPM. Which is what some of the guys were talking about. Sorry for the confusion.

    I know of a few diesels that have these quick spool flanges, they seem to like them really well. It will help with quicker spool up on a larger charger but it doesn't do anything for high drive pressure at RPM/

    I'm all for a repower/transplant section. I'm hoping to start a project around fall/early winter. I think it would be good to have a dedicated section to exchange ideas, information, and tech specifically related to shoving a Dmax in something that never came with it.

    I rode in a buddy's a few weeks back, somehow I got crammed in the backseat, the car was had some good power but there's no way a full size adult will be comfortable in the back. Front seats aren't bad, enough room for me 6' 4" 235. I'd buy one.

    I've always used the mothers clay bar on my black truck with good results. Never even considered using anything other than the instant detailer spray that comes with the kit. Seems to make the paint a lot smoother and shiny after. I always wax after too, I've heard the paint is more vulnerable...

    Not sure on the air filter, it's only been a couple months since I cleaned it and it doesn't see any off road. I'm gonna do a balance test on the injectors but that only tells you how much fuel is being returned right?
