    LB7: Twin hot pipe temps?

    I would say that's close, when I dyno tested heat blankets, the probe on top of the turbo exhaust housing (under a blanket) never got over 920's. That was on three consecutive pulls. If anything the hot pipe will be a bit cooler as it bleeds heat off into the underhood air.

    300 degrees may not be high enough for pre-intercooler on some trucks. I've heard guys say they've datalogged around 500 degrees IAT with no intercooler. (Cummins)

    Depending on the dates, there are 8+ trucks up here that will travel 10 or more hours for a good pull. Especially if it was too early for us to pull up here.

    Haven't heard exact dates so far. Just that they're planning on the first week of May. I would think they'll have to announce it soon so competitors can get the necessary time off for the event. (If chosen.)

    Planning on the trip again this year (24+ hour drive). Last year was definitely a disappointment but the Perry's seem to have taken big steps to stop the idiocy that happened last year. I'm just glad they didn't give up and stop the event due to people acting like complete idiots.

    I'm fairly sure you only have to have a NHRA tech come out and certify the bar/cage if you're faster than a certain speed. Not sure on what the break is though.

    I have the same garrett of a 60 series. Supposed to be a GT4294, they replace them with K31's. If the turbo is good you could have the cover machined and put a bigger wheel in it, might save you some $$$.
