?? Im not sure what you mean? Hotter than the manifolds? You are not going to see any hotter than the manifolds. As the exhaust gets further from the manifold it starts to cool. The hot pipe on my setup is coated & wrapped, you can lay your hand on it after a hard run, just not for long.

I would say that's close, when I dyno tested heat blankets, the probe on top of the turbo exhaust housing (under a blanket) never got over 920's. That was on three consecutive pulls. If anything the hot pipe will be a bit cooler as it bleeds heat off into the underhood air.
