    Sounds like you need to inspect that harness more. The harness rubbing on the alternator bracket is a typical LLY problem causer.

    I would get some electrical cleaner and make sure the connections are clean. I would also take apart the bail connectors on drivers side valve cover and use electrical cleaner on that.     Setup change for towing

    I'd run it as-is, obviously with the overloads/bags. I towed 14k with my old race truck on a 72vgt/S483, dual pumps, and 60% overs and it did just find. Little laggy off light but definitely manageable. I'm also at a minimum of 5,000' elevation too.
