    Oil filler cap and dipstick blown off/out. Take the cap off and start the engine, if you get covered in oil....:D Really, you will have a ton of blow-by.

    Hmmm.. The sweet " taste " is there, at least for me. Easy to find out, pull the cooler and pressure up on it. Could just be that the coolant has been thinned by that much water. How would antifreeze " burn "?

    I would still bet it's the EGR cooler. What year is this truck Kat? If it's an 06 or 7 deleting the egr cooler will cause a code and light even with egr valve plugged in. The cooler can be changed without having to remove the intake. A better option is available by way of aftermarket EGR...
