No the actual full connectors that lock on to the ECM.

    ECM Connectors

Anyone have a source besides the dealer for LLY ECM connectors? I've checked eficonnection.com and several GM parts dealers online but haven't been able to find what I'm after.

    Awesome guy!

Thanks James! Lucky you posted this, I was on the verge of an angry PM since I hadn't been updated with how these worked out. :D It was nice to work on some high horsepower stuff for a change.

Fun car for street strip road race toy??

Really? I have a hard time believing that honestly. Especially if you had a properly setup EFI (not necessarily stock) with a good tuner. Only reason I think you would want to run a carb is you're either scared/unwilling to move to EFI or class limited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

is it normal for "mods" to mess with my signature?

I fail to see the problem or anything even remotely close to "disturbing". Their job is to moderate, threads, signatures, everything that isn't within the rules. Their house, their rules IMO.

    Duramax Street Rod

Thanks guys. I wouldn't be opposed to building more sets but I don't think it's possible to do it and keep cost down. The 1/2" top plates alone were $250 plus the ride then I have 6ish hours in milling them. Obviously, it would go faster 2nd time around but there would still be a few hours...

    Duramax Street Rod

Since I sold the original 1/8" top valve cover plates I got from Mat @ S&T steel. I went another direction. Picked up some 1/2" aluminum top plates from Mat, took a crash course on using a friends manual mill and cut myself some finned valve covers. Painted them black then wiped the tops of...

    Throttle Pedal Differences

Yep! That was one of them. Thanks! Thanks for the info guys, looks like I'm good to go with the pedal I've got.

    Tuning with No MAF Sensor

Thanks for the info guys. Just going to run without one for now. Hopefully smoke content is manageable. Worst case I guess I can always add one later.

    Throttle Pedal Differences

I thought I remembered a thread outlining the differences between throttle pedals and throttle sensor voltage between LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM etc but couldn't find it searching. I think I remember you need a pedal from the same engine year in a repower. Is that right or do certain years interchange...

Banks Call Out Scheid/Hypermax/Wade For NHRDA Season Opener

Seen this on CompD. Figured it was only a matter of time before Banks came back for the records. I didn't realize they were releasing a billet Duramax head either. Anyone have insight on that part? "Today, Friday Nov 8th, 2013, straight from the Banks booth at the Sema show in Las Vegas...

    Making a 4L80 Live

I've never personally had them flash a manual OS into an auto ECM but I'm sure they have the capability. You can flash it in with EFIlive though if they are unwilling.

    Tuning with No MAF Sensor

After lots of searching, I only came up with a couple things. If you don't want to run a MAF you just max the tables and change it to not reported then you more or less have to drive it with your right foot to control spool/smoke? Anything else I should know that might be detrimental? MPG...

    Making a 4L80 Live

A Duramax cam with a manual trans behind it factory so you can just run a manual OS with a stand alone harness for the 4l80 with no issue.

    Making a 4L80 Live

Thanks for chipping in Josh. I appreciate the info. HP wise what were you running at the time you were killing all the clutches? Have you trashed anymore since going to the Rossler VB?

    Making a 4L80 Live

So a good converter/manual valve body shift kit, minimizing burnouts and keeping it out of 4th under power should make it live a somewhat lengthy life? That sounds good enough to me. I don't mind killing one occasionally but I'd rather not have to yank a trans every time I drop the hammer.

    Making a 4L80 Live

Long story short. Say a guy wanted to put a 4L80 behind a Dmax with 600ish hp in a street/strip car that weighs 2800ish lbs. What would be the recommended parts list for making it survive? Let's assume it hooks so we can't rely on traction issues to make it live. I'm assuming converter/shift...

    '65 Malibu RePower

This. ^ The only reason I would go Dmax is for better MPG than an LS but you're also going to be considerably heavier.
