    IAT to Rail Pressure Correlation?

Thanks for the call Shane. Definitely appreciate the help. It'll be a couple days before I can get back to the truck but I'll be giving you a shout soon.

    IAT to Rail Pressure Correlation?

Wondering what effect intake air temp has on rail pressure. Re-firing the truck after it's already hot and been driven gives me garbage loping idle and cranked rail. Returns to normal with some cool off time. Wondering if IAT's reading crazy high at startup are causing it. Non-intercooled...

    PCM Not Detected...Status Unknown

Yes, at least in my case it did. Everything was normal except when it checked for PCM status. It would try I think 10 times before saying PCM undetected/Status unknown and ask you to turn off ignition. I believe the V2 draws power from the OBDII so the screen lighting up or not wouldn't...

    need a turbo blanket

Planning on it as long as I don't hit a major snag with the truck. Won't be chassis cert'd or have my NHRA license yet so I'll probably just run 11.90 and brackets.

    need a turbo blanket

Actually yes. Not on turbo whistle but engine noise. I've been doing full kits (manifold/up-pipes/turbo sock) on 7.3 Powerstroke engines for awhile and it's a considerable difference in engine noise on those clattering things. Just a turbo blanket alone doesn't tend to make a noticeable noise...

    need a turbo blanket

I'm here! :D $90 for a non-gated S400. If you're on the website it's the T3 T4 Non-Gated Turbo Sock. If you're running an unusually large or small exhaust housing, just let me know and I can adjust blanket size to fit. Give me a shout if you have any questions about them. Thanks Damian...

Sold the Lincoln, Now it's an IH Metro Project

Nothing a sawzall won't fix. :D. I seriously don't see it being a problem though. I've pulled a few quick measurements and I think trans fitment is a bigger concern without cutting on the floor. The engine bay has enough room to build a small apartment to live in. Edit: I just saw the original...

Sold the Lincoln, Now it's an IH Metro Project

That's the plan anyway. Probably take a breath and spend the summer having fun with the truck then spend a little time on the Lincoln. I'm not looking for another long project, hopefully just an engine/trans swap with some wheels and bags.

    Duramax Street Rod

Thanks man. Blankets? I don't need that snake oil. Actually I wanted to wait until I sorted out any engine issues and tightened up all the exhaust fasteners before I blanketed everything.

    Duramax Street Rod

Here's a few pics with the hood off and one with it sitting on. The color isn't quite matte white, depending on light it's kind of a green/gray color. It's not going to win the Riddler award anytime soon but it was a million mile cab before I got it and wanted to keep some of the war wounds...

I'll take a couple in morning. Better at building it than keeping up on the progress updates. :o

    Duramax Street Rod

 Honestly haven't done one yet. Converter is a little tight to light the turbos for a burner. Got it painted and finished up swaybar end links. Working on interior and waiting on glass/Lexan to show up. Just been cruising around close to the house. Still haven't plated it/insured...

G.M. Performance Parts Duramax Diesel Top Dragster final prep for testing

It's been running for some time. It's made some passes too, numbers looked fairly competitive to what's out there now in the 1/8 mile. Don't know 1/4 mile number because it puked a valve seat. There's a link below to the thread with the time slip and ensuing banter about it. While I don't...

    Just an idea..............

What are you wanting to know specifically? We just found that when you needed a ton of water to control EGT's, nozzle placement became more of an issue. Spreading them out helped with keeping them suspended in the airstream. More smaller nozzles at higher pressure was what worked best rather...

:spit: That's the same thing I was thinking when I read the OP's unusual request.

    Just an idea..............

Yes, you can do it and it helps. Cummins CR stuff run multiple nozzles right in the intake plenum (same spot as our intake runners basically). All the phase change of the water (from liquid to steam) is happening near or in the head anyway. Multiple smaller nozzles work better than one bigger...

    Roll bar time

What?!? Shaking a cage isn't the best way I've heard of testing cage strength with or without door bars in. That's like saying to jump up and down on a bridge to see if you could drive a loaded semi over it. While I agree that safety specs weren't made with these trucks in mind, further...
