    Allison 1000 6 spd to 5 spd

I picked up a basically new (70 miles) pull-out 1000 6 speed with TCM. I have the Destroked kit with XFC to put an Allison behind my Cummins but that is only good for the 5 speed currently. The plan was to swap out the valve body assembly and TCM from a 5 speed. I know you can swap up to...

    LB7 Starting issue

He said the filter and WIF are good. Filter or WIF sensor letting air was the first thought.

    Banks???

I ran Banks in my LLY and now in my LMM. I did that because I know if I did EFI Live when I bought my first diesel I would have been out an Allison in a week. The Banks products do put out what they claim. As far as bang for the buck, you can get results for less money. If you buy a...

    LB7 Starting issue

A buddy is having problems with his LB7. He just had the injectors replaced. The truck ran fine and he drove it home. It sat over the weekend and when he started it, it only ran for a couple of seconds and died. It would crank but not start after that. A few pumps on the primer and it fired...

    Vin Diesel knows whats up

I don't think Hollywood sound guys own cars. That would explain why they never seem to get the sounds right. They all ride Segways and bicycles.

    Vin Diesel knows whats up

The new one has the Chevelle pulling the wheels. Of course nitro-methane also leaves a yellow chalky residue.

    metal cutting band saw

Well, the cheapest I found even near your 20" was a 16" Dalton and it was over the budget. Did you find anything on CL?

Transfer case filled with synthetic oil update

Has anyone tried one of the 0W-20 in the TC? I'm thinking of running a little lower viscosity in the TC and Diffs to see what kind of mileage I get.

    metal cutting band saw

Ben did you get the measurements from both blades? The metal blade is 1/4" or so deeper on the ones I've seen.

Looking at prices, I think there may be a bit more of a difference between them. A 20" is expensive even for the new cheap stuff.

    Kel Tec Sub 2000

Check the mag springs and lips. It sounds like a nice combo. I like both companies. DPMS or S&W is what I would buy if I bought a new AR.

Hi-Point is not bad. If you take care of it and replace the spring and it will keep running. They look like doo doo for the most part but function always tops form in the end.

That P99 is a great pistol. Basically the same as a Glock and S&W M&P now. The Walther and S&W, same company now under "Strategic Alliance" have a couple of removeable part sin the frame, which do not increase accuracy. The M&P will usually be more affordable. They are great!! The 9C is...

The Sig is nice but I'd rather not pay the extra $ they are trading at right now. The smallest .380 on the market is SeeCamp and you should see the cost v. trading price on those. Other than that first run of LCPs, which Ruger took great care of, they have been awesome.
