    09 pump in 02 Allison

I'm building my 02 Allison and I have a spare 09 Allison. Do I still put any of the full trans-go parts in the 09 pump or housing? The valve body and C1/C2 are done and most of the trans is back together.

    My day job...

Come on Josh! Everyone wants to be a migrant ordnance picker! Actually teaching the Afghani EOD school seems to be a pretty good gig. I have no idea what I'm going to do in six years when I retire.

    Chum Again

Allison build Once I had it up on the stand the break down began. It gets tanked tomorrow and back together. She was pretty clean for 225K.

    Chum Again

More front end I had to buy a new wheel hub assembly and tore into the brakes. I learned a valuable lesson. Some early 2500LD trucks use 1500 series brake hoses. That was fun learning the hard way. Old 2800# coil springs New Super Coils 3700# springs installed I will have the...

I agree. We used them both. The spring hangers had eight apiece. The hot knife worked the best. Cutting the bed mounts off is a real PITA!! I have no idea why they welded them so well. Cutting the mid-section out was easier.

    I feel like an ASS

Hang in there. There is no right answer for this one. My first wife nothing more than to have kids. I can't have kids. It was hell watching her try to deal with it. She blamed herself a lot. I have learned through three ex-wives that their emotional roller coaster concerning kids is faster...

    Chum Again

Well, this has been a while in the making. I finally had to take a month off work so it made sense to get to work on the truck. There are a few parts to the project. Short bed, McGauhy's 4" rear drop, Super Coils front 3700 pound coils, Allison Build, custom drive shaft, ARP studs, 110HP...

What sub setup are you using?

Chris, don't go too crazy here. Based on the box and subs you were talking about earlier I would say you won't be running near the output of that 500. Also, keep in mind there is no such thing as output-splitting in a single circuit. If your amp puts out 600 watts at a given load, every...

What sub setup are you using?

JL! I love them. You get what you pay for. I'm been running them for years; both stealthboxes and slash series amps. I also like the little flag on the boxes and being able to call someone in this country if you ever need it.

Chevrolet's new slogan: "Excellence for All"

Agreed. Like a Rock was awesome. You think Bob Seger wants that song brought back out?

Does the company that makes the LMM pistons, also make the NBS rotors

I have to agree with Ben on this one. McCall's DIY is pretty good. There were so many with issues with those calipers! Where is the knock on wood smiley?

Question: AAM 11.50 codes to order

I'm trying to get a 11.50" in for Chum. I can not find the codes to give the correct vehicle information to get a '01-'04 2500HD 3.73 w/G80. I understand that G80 part, just trying to get the right code for an 11.50 with 3.73. Thanks

Long bed to Short bed conversion recommendations

I just pulled the McG parts. It looks like I can just use their drop hangers instead of ordering a set of shortbed hangers from GM to complete the conversion. Sweet!!

Long bed to Short bed conversion recommendations

I think I may be able to just run hangers and call it good. I was concerned about the factory front coils and the extra 700 pounds they hold up now but after measuring against another truck it only went down 1". So free 1" drop. :thumb:
