    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Doh. I kept thinking the top one was for something on the intake but I for some reason I forgot the maf sensor. Realized middle one is for the WIF sensor, but I have a delete plug. Yeah I hadn’t finished hooking up the glow plugs. Just did that now. Last one, I’ll just ground nearby then.

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

I’m pretty fricken close, I should be firing it up this afternoon... just a few more harness connections, front stack, fix the fuel lines on the chassis, oil change, and maybe I get the lift pump today. But... few more questions first. Two more connectors I don’t remember, and a grounding post...

What is this for? It’s part of the charging/alternator system right? Pink wire/blue shield goes to the terminal on the left, and alternator goes to terminal on the left?

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Hmm, I’m not putting the vacuum pump back in. I was wondering what to do with #9 in the diagram. So do I just Tee the two valve cover breathers together and let it dump under the cab?

Okay need help with another part ID I think I remember this hooking into the egr/emissions junk with the little tube, and then maybe connecting to the valve covers? But I can’t figure out where.

Just straight tape on wires? You didn’t put any of the plastic corrugated looming on?

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Hmm, maybe I just need to spend the time and clean mine up... but then it’s still going to have all the Cali connectors and I just removed that stuff. Can I buy just the rubber boots for the connectors? What plastic loom did you guys use to redo it?

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Pulled the FPR out, plugged it in, trimmed the connector, and got it back together. I used my tool that I made from the first time I replaced the FPR with everything still in place other than AC. Then I went ahead and cross threaded the FICM  Spent 20 min un-gaking that. I also...

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Yeah... I was just looking at that thinking what the hell. I think I remember reading about trimming the plastic on the harness to help? I already tightened the banjo bolt, maybe I can take the FPR out and plug it in then reinstall the FPR?

There’s a stud and a bolt hole on top of the Y-bridge ... I don’t remember what it’s for. Anyone know what I’m talking about?

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

That’s a great idea. I do like to get things right and factory as I can, but I just rushed into the disassembly on this one and didn’t plan well enough. I guess there’s always next time :thumb:

According to this picture it looks like even bank has the feed line to the rear of the motor and odd bank has it to the front, so my rail is backwards. Doh .

I may have, but holding the other one up it looks like they are identical. Same numbers on them. I may try swapping it anyways. I got cyl #6 to line up perfect, hand thread both collars on. Still struggling with the rest.

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

Okay next question... I’m using LDS new aftermarket high pressure lines. This is one of the lines from the bag labeled cyl 2&7... What am I doing wrong that it’s not close to fitting?

    Considering DD'ing 350k mile LB7?

After this weekend I’m going to have to tap out. I’ve flown/drove 700 miles to get to the truck for the past 5 weekends in a row and I just can’t keep going. I’d like to get the top end buttoned up from injectors, water pump and balancer in, front stack back in, and wiring harness. I’ll...
