    Classic Prices-WTH???

Thanks but I found an LB7 with reasonable mileage and bought it. I started a different thread.

    Pump Rub

I’ve only got 120k miles on it give or take so hoping I don’t need all that shit. Will find out when I get it apart. $1600 CDN for a rebuilt with no core up here.

    Pump Rub

I’ll give it a good inspection and see what all is dicked and order appropriately. Case half is $325 when they have in stock at the one discount parts place. $700 for a merchant kit so we will see what all it needs first.

    Pump Rub

Gonna bring this back to life. The ‘03 I just bought was good when I inspected it before I bought it. Checked thoroughly for a pump rub hole and it was good. 1500km later I have it on the hoist to install a muffler and notice the transfer case is wet and a tiny pinhole. FML. So I’m gonna seal...

    Back in a Diesel

Picked up an ‘03 with 200k km on it. In pretty good shape. Needs a few things like a cluster rebuild, pump rub kit and a little minor rust remediation so the rockers don’t return to Jesus but all in all I’m happy with it so far.

    Not another compound turbo thread

LBZ not LB7 but my S464 with a .90 AR as a single ran great. Spooled fairly quick, low egt’s, no need for a wastegate as the heavy shaft in it is tough to break if you bark it. Ended up selling it with a matching twin kit to Buck Spruill but never heard back on how it ran. I never got a chance...

new head gaskets, now runs rough and smokes

I was gonna say to check the turbo coolant lines. As these trucks age problems like this are becoming more and more prevalent.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

Ya that 7 I posted above turned out to be a dud. Some peoples opinions of mint are pretty jaded. Still on the hunt. Really not looking for an lly but there’s a few around with good price tags on them.

    2003 duramax lb7 p0089 help

I would guess as the ecm controls the regulator he checked the wiring and found it to be ok and tried a known good/new ecm and it fixed the issue.

new head gaskets, now runs rough and smokes

Possibly due to the firing order is why 1&3 made it knock. 3 and then 1 come before 2 so that would be 3 holes that never fired before 7 then 8 & 4. Good find though.

new head gaskets, now runs rough and smokes

Always roll in the direction it runs. If that balancer bolt comes loose it either wasn’t tight enough or your engine/trans is way too tight.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

Ya been on there for 2 weeks and no response from buddy so I’m sure it’s gone and he’s too dumb to remove the ad. Going to check this one out tomorrow. ‘03 lb7 with 120k miles. Bone stock never been tuned. It’s a US import. Had some front end damage in an accident hence the newer grille.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

Is there enough in the PCM Performance file to make changes to shift points and lock up speeds in efilive? I’ve never dove much farther than those tables in the TCM tuning.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

Little out of my pric except the dpf and ugly imo. I’ve never liked lmm's. Just my opinion.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

In my part of the world it’s been LLY and LML that are the prime offenders. Rarely a 7, Z or L5P come through the door for hg.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

There’s a moderator on this site that got a long block and 3 sets of head gaskets in his ‘05. Pretty confident he knew what he was doing. 210k on my buddies lly and he’s ready for his second set. I dunno……..

    Classic Prices-WTH???

Mostly true. I did own an LLY for a couple years. But that was before the LBZ existed.

    Classic Prices-WTH???

I haven’t found an LLY for more than 5g less than an LBZ with the same mileage so I’d be spending almost the same once I convert it. As I mentioned before I would have to rely on duramaxtuner to do the TCM tuning as I don’t believe normal folks can. Would need to research this some though. And...
