    You say #5 was at +5 and you changed it but the ruff idle is still there you might want to check compression just to rule that out and i have seen the ice pick job not work and #5 does not have to be the problem it could be trying to make up for another one thats not putting out enough firing...

    When you say blowing through it what do you mean not locking up or not holding up to the power/slipping? I would get a lockup box with whatever converter you get.

    thanks for the inputs like shane said spool up is my biggest thing i drive this truck most daily and don't want a lazy pig. I'm thinking a 74 turbin wheel should help along with making sure the waste gate ports are good and open and full travel maybe have the SS housing polished to keep the heat...
