I have a built lb7 with a s366 pushing 700 horse at the wheels right now but it seems to be blowing straight through my bd converter so im looking to upgrade. I have the money set aside to add a s480 or s483 ontop of my s366 this winter. I was hoping to be around 1000 horse with the turbo set up and a bit more fuel (or NOx). I was wondering if the 1055 would be ok with my set up for racing and sled pulling? Or what would be a better converter and why?

Thanks!

I really like mine with the triples. It is the best one that I have tried yet. They have one with more stall I think but I don't think you would be wrong for using the 1055..

We street drove our 2.6 truck couple years ago for a few hundred miles and was pleasantly surprised how well it coupled and performed. I currently had a 1056 in my other truck and would of rather had the 1055 in it, even with a stock turbo.

Sweet! Thank you guys for the input! Sounds like im going to run a 1055 instead of my POS bd that won't hold.

When you say blowing through it what do you mean not locking up or not holding up to the power/slipping? I would get a lockup box with whatever converter you get.

It will hold up to 4000 rpm then rap out to 4500 with ease! It locks up good but won't hold it

call Mike L and order the Georend K converter. best converter ive driven so far especially if your looking to make big power.

BTW, I would go with a bigger twin set up if you want 1000rwhp IMO. or gate both chargers so you can spray :D
