    You could put a S488 over it as well but you will lose response. Someone on here has a 488 over his 72.

    Josh, I have the fleece locker too but my cel sets a hard tcm code that my edge cts can’t clear. Tranny usually acts a little crazy after that till I reset with efilive. Have you tried an a40 tcm?

    09’s have stabilatrak and I think an a40 tcm might be more cooperative. Stays locked in with the smaller tunes but any wheel spin in the big tunes it’s unlocking. Tried getting ahold of BT multiple times for a lockbox but they don’t return calls and I need better support then that.

    The 1078 has more fluid coupling then the R and works a lot better in higher hp applications with vgt’s.

    If it’s Marks turbo I would use Marks tuning then see where you’re at. Can’t the stall be changed on the converter as well for a cheaper option?

    Higher drive pressures elevate egt’s also. I think there is a formula to figure out what the temps are actually in the cylinder if your drive and egt is known.

    Put your money on the best internals you can afford(rods+pistons+studs) otherwise it will always be in the back of your mind every time you use your truck on a long haul. FYI I didn’t gain anything from manifolds and up pipes on the dyno in the 600whp range.

    What are the specs on the engine? Vgt might be the only way to bring back what you’re wanting. Headwork and cam choice can hurt your torque down low as well.
