LLY: does an LLY have a DPF?

Too late... I swapped out the front pipe/cat for an LB7 pipe I got from a buddy. Worked perfect, no lights or codes so far. 40 miles since. I know I can get 4" for it fairly cheap, but I really don't think I will need it. It seems to run good enough the way it is! Gotta love them Dmaxes! :thumb:

LLY: does an LLY have a DPF?

Well, my truck is an Iowa truck and pretty sure it has been all it's life. I think I will start with taking the CAT off first and see how it goes. Then the block off plate will be next. I know a guy who has a stock LB7 exhaust so for simplicity I think I will see if he will part with the front...

LLY: does an LLY have a DPF?

IC. I have been thinking about an EGR block off plate and a finger stick as well. May as well get it done! Thanks for the info!

LLY: does an LLY have a DPF?

Cool. Will it make a difference in the way it runs or the mpg if I remove it? I think I can get my hands on a stock LB7 pipe that doesn't have the cat. If it won't help I won't worry about it though.

LLY: does an LLY have a DPF?

Hey guys. Recently sold my LB7 and upgraded to an LLY. I was wondering, does it have a DPF or is what I am seeing in the exhaust just a cat? Also, If I remove the front pipe can it be replaced with one from an LB7?

LB7: truck has died twice now......

I have only noticed it shut off on level 2. I usually don't use anything but level 1. I got this J w/A for $300 so I thought it was a good deal rather than buying the gauges and everything. Plus, I don't really have the $$ to do anything else. :( So far I have read here that the sutting down...

LB7: truck has died twice now......

This is wierd..... I was coasting into town the other day and it just died. Coasted over to the side of the road, put it in park, started right up and not another problem till yesterday. Same deal, kicked off the cruise and coasting down an off ramp and it died. I did happen to notice this time...

    Info: Black wheels........

Funny you should mention..... lol. I got steel wheels. Got ford steel wheels and ran into a TINY problem. They lock against the calipers! NOT TO WORRY. I made some aluminum spacers 5/16" thick and cured the problem. I can't wait to get them on, and was thinking the trim ring would probably make...

    Info: Black wheels........

Those look good too! :thumb: I guess I just need to do some more looking. I still think I should be able to get some factory steel wheels cheap somewhere and paint them and put my centers in them. I guess my whole "mission" is to get some "cheap" wheels to look good. I really think I want...

    Info: Black wheels........

I wondered.... It's kinda hard to tell, but the way they look in the picture I think is how some factory steel ones would look. Any idea what vehicle would have had any like that? The ones I saw off that 95 ford van looked close but I didn't have time to measure them. Plus, I wasn't about to...

    Info: Black wheels........

I have thought about that, especially since there is a shop right down the street from where I work. BUT..... I was kind of thinking I would like something 8" wide....maybe with a little more offset. I like the way the REAR ones look on this truck.......I think they are different than the frint...

    Info: Black wheels........

HELP!! I have seen a lot of black wheels lately on trucks and they are growing on me. I have an 01 CC SB and would like to put a set of regular old stamped steel (factory style) on and use my factory center caps. Any opinions? I think it would look tough! I saw a picture somewhere of one like...

    Best Diesel Oil???

Hey guys, just have a quick question. Looking for some opinions on a good brand of diesel oil to run. My local mechanic said to NOT run Rotella, because it does not have an anti-foam additive in it. He recomends running Texaco Ursa. I have since switched to Ursa, but cannot find a place to buy...
