HELP!! I have seen a lot of black wheels lately on trucks and they are growing on me. I have an 01 CC SB and would like to put a set of regular old stamped steel (factory style) on and use my factory center caps. Any opinions? I think it would look tough! I saw a picture somewhere of one like that and for some reason it caught my interest. My factore aluminum suffers from weight corosion(nobody knows to use coated weights!) and look bad! Anyway, I would like to find a set, like 8" wide, that won't stick out too far. I found some from a 95 ford 3/4 ton van at the salvage yard that "looked" like they would work, but they wanted $35 each for them! TOOO MUCH! Any ideas/info????? Thanks!

I have thought about that, especially since there is a shop right down the street from where I work. BUT..... I was kind of thinking I would like something 8" wide....maybe with a little more offset. I like the way the REAR ones look on this truck.......I think they are different than the frint, aren't they????

i think they are the same the back ones are just spinning

I wondered.... It's kinda hard to tell, but the way they look in the picture I think is how some factory steel ones would look. Any idea what vehicle would have had any like that? The ones I saw off that 95 ford van looked close but I didn't have time to measure them. Plus, I wasn't about to give $35 a piece for them! I can get brand new steel modular type ones for a little more than that.

Rears are the same as the front just spinning on the rollers.

Not sure what you mean by "like that", but I had the same rims on my 06 if you want pics of em. If you wanted the stock rim look - sorry can't help.

Those look good too! :thumb:

I guess I just need to do some more looking. I still think I should be able to get some factory steel wheels cheap somewhere and paint them and put my centers in them. I guess my whole "mission" is to get some "cheap" wheels to look good. I really think I want steel though, just because they seem to balance out so well. Meanwhile, the search continues! Thanks for the input!

Sorry man but you lost me.........

In that post - you showed a truck with XD Hoss Wheels, so I wasn't sure if you were looking for pics of Hoss wheels or not. So I threw mine up. Your next post of maddog's truck showed what type of wheel you wanted.

That's all - nbd

Good luck with the search.:D

if you go with steelies, you could always get some trim rings

Funny you should mention..... lol. I got steel wheels. Got ford steel wheels and ran into a TINY problem. They lock against the calipers! NOT TO WORRY. I made some aluminum spacers 5/16" thick and cured the problem. I can't wait to get them on, and was thinking the trim ring would probably make a huge difference. All in all i will have about $50 in the whole deal, not counting the rings. Any suggestions where to find decent trim rings?? I haven't got a clue where to look, or how to know if they will go on properly or not if I buy them online. HMMM............
