    2006 LBZ cooling problem

Okay thanks for the tips. I’ll hold off on upgrading the radiator to a performance unit. I didn’t hear the fan kick in and make a roaring sound, so I’ll replace the clutch. I’ve no doubt it’s the original unit.

    2006 LBZ cooling problem

Hey guys, I need a little guidance. A few months ago I moved from Sacramento to San Diego. I towed my Subaru Impreza behind my truck on a uhaul car trailer. It was July, so 90+ the whole way through the central valley. Truck did mostly fine, although I did notice the coolant temp needle creep...

LML Lift install opinions on cost

That's probably exactly what happened, but isn't that what a shop normally does? Maybe try to negotiate with them?

    Used truck prices

Truck prices are crazy like they were in 2007 before the market crash, only now there's 10 years of inflation and new truck prices have skyrocketed too.

    Used truck prices

I think most of the people that are members on sites like this do, when they can. For the average joe just trying to buy a used truck in good condition that they won't have to do work on, the price is going to be what I consider outrageous. The same truck that I got for 5K is selling for 15-20K...

    Used truck prices

If you're willing to check craigslists multiple time a day then you can get a deal. I just picked up my 2006 LBZ 4x4 CC LB for 5K. Sure it's got 340,000 miles but it runs like a dream and the transmission fluid looked great (shifts well too). The previous owner (original) did all the scheduled...

LBZ transmission leak, I can not locate it

I definitely plan on replacing all the coolant hoses with silicone hoses in the near future. Cheap insurance, plus the bottom radiator hose looks pretty beat up and feels too soft. Gonna have to wait a few months though, as the wife is already mad at how much I've spent on this truck since I...

    LBZ: Steering Gear Box

Ah yes, here is a thread that has the GM tsb https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2003-gmc-sierra-left-turn-hard-low-speeds In the tsb it mentions that replacing the 670 with the 680 can fix problems with weak power steering. I'm pretty sure it has to be paired with the 12 vane p.s. pump. I...

    LBZ: Steering Gear Box

Let us know how it works out for ya. This is a job I'm definitely interested in doing in the next 6 months or so.

    LBZ: Steering Gear Box

From what I’ve read, the Delphi 680 that came in the 7.5-10 duramax’s is a lot beefier than the Delphi 670 that came stock in the lbz. Is this not the case or are these just as hit and miss as the stock boxes?

LBZ transmission leak, I can not locate it

So I pressure washed the engine/transmission then took it for a drive. I got back and the leak pretty bad, but now I could see where it was coming from. Turns out it's coming from a small coolant hose that seems to feed the turbo housing.

LBZ transmission leak, I can not locate it

I got a problem and maybe you can help me. My 2006 LBZ is leaking off of the bell housing where it mates up to the engine block. I stuck my finger inside the bell housing and felt around. No oil in there so I don't think it's coming from the torque converter. I can't find a trail of oil up...

    New from Sacramento California

Hello everybody! I just picked up a 2006 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 (Crew cab and long bed :cool2: ). It's got some miles, about 340K, but the engine and transmission work great. Been doing some work on it and I'll be seeking help and advice here as I do more. I used to own a 1992 Dodge W250 4x4...
