sweet. i think i could make the alli live with what i would be trying to do. there are fullsize trucks in the tens so i dont think the alli would be stressin with a 5000 lb truck at all. just seemed so much more simple to get the engine tuning down w/o a trans that isnt trying to "learn" and do...- dmaxerLLY

ok that sounds more like it. if i wanted to do this all i would need is the converter to work with the dmax and adapter any idea what those two things would cost? the manaul vb runs about 450-500$. this was just a thought. it sounds like it would be easier to go with the alli.- dmaxerLLY

HOLY OLD THREAD!! out of curiosity why is it so much to switch to a "duraflite"? if one had a duramax engine that was going to be put in a street truck capable of 9's that weighed about 4500-5200lbs AND a 47RH trans out of a dodge what would it take to mate the two??? this is a hydralic...- dmaxerLLY
