    Most machine shops that I have had do motor builds your around 2,500. That's tear down machine work and rebuild. With that shop you would have to ship the motor out then back but places like abf is fair on those prices.

    I will not use or sell mellings pumps. Had issues with one before holding very high pressure that's not needed. And did the same thing your seeing now. Was spinning the gear on the shaft.

    I would look for pipe before using the pry bar. Not good putting pressure on the rocker shaft. They have bent and or busted in half from guys removing without backing the valve lash off first.

    LLY Water Pump

    I never had a issue with my stock Lbz pump. Reinstalled on rebuild at 30k area and was still kicking at 112k. I have sold a lot of the merchant welded hybrids pump with no issues. They also come with a lifetime warranty.
