Here is what myself and lb7dirtymax01 have been doing for the past few weeks. The Bendpak XPR-10A will be here tomorrow afternoon. We are long overdue for a lift, adequate lighting, and a heated workspace. It's 24' W x 36' L currently. 151" from floor to ceiling. One 10x10 door, and one 8x10. The loft has a 32" knee wall and will serve as our office and leisure area.

Here is the shop I get to use whenever I want and I help the guy on the side. The front building is the shop, 180'x80'x22' ceilings. It is massive. Super nice and clean inside all the time. Entire back half drains to the center which makes it awesome in the winter to clean up the truck. Pic was taken from a 125' tall grain leg. Just for reference, the tool in the back barn you can see is a 40' drill

Haha, yes Scott....same with the 7" ash poles my dad insisted on cutting down to jack the floor while we welded the uprights. It sure went smoothly though with those chain falls, me and Nate rode the beam up while we hoisted and squared it all up pretty quickly. That's a W18x40 A36 I-Beam. 6"x6"x 5/16" square posts. We had to encase part of the foundation because when I went to tighten the two outside anchors, they popped the corner right off.

I know this is a old thread, but thought some of you might get a kick out of it. We use the farm most the time but I was doing injectors on my truck so I just did them in my one car "shop" if you will haha. It's 14x22 but with the work benches it's a little tight depth wise. Gets the job done and houses my press, drill press, welder, compressor etc etc. BTW those ramps make a good platform to stand on while working haha

Wow, forgot about this thread. I remember looking at it in 2010 saying "man I wish I had my own garage to just have my tools close by".

5 years later
