Wondering what tourque converter to run in my truck. Stalls speed etc. 05 lly 5 speed truck has 4.56 gears and is on 37" tall tires. I do sand drags with it the same ell as tow my 37' toy hauler so I need something dependable. Know I should get a tripple disc billit right. Any particular brands??

Suncoast or Goerend are the only two companies I feel make a converter worth investing your money in. Your turbo and any future goals dictate which model will suite you the best.

I would like to do twins eventually. Probaby stay with the stock turbo for a while tho. What's a good stall rating for what I want to do. I'm going with the suncoast gmax 5-3 kit

If Evan is close to you make the drive. I took a 7 hour drive to Mike L and glad I did. As far as a TC goes my vote is Goerend. I don't think a converter can perform any better

HSP is in Michigan, I plan to go to them when its time for a trans. Evan recommended them to me since they are much closer to me than he is. HSP buys Evans kits, and Evan also trained their builder.

Only thing sucks about the TC I got.. transtar A7XL...is they don't make a triple disc version.. closest is Phil Taylor at DPC and their 1800 stall TC
The 1078 reviews sound nice for a truck that rarely tows more than 10k Trailer.
For an off the shelf $300.00 TC running 400hp I've been extremely pleased with it for last 120,000+ miles towing upwards of 28,000lb Trailer.
Your taller tires will add 150-200 Rpms vs my setup with 4.56/32" tires and a G4088r

I talked to Evan when I freshened up the tranny in my lmm. I removed a 1056 from my lmm and installed a 10531. But he recommended I send the 1056 in and have it made into to his 1078 so when I'm ready to do my tranny in the lml it'd be ready. He said it'd do good towing my trailer and the lmm. Trailer weights around 9k and truck is 8500.
