Sorry, I meant after just the oil filter is removed without draining the pan.
You could always add oil into the filter

Thanks Adam, but I meant after just the filter is removed and the little bit that drains out. Not a full oil change, just a filter change. Is it close to 1 qt or something like that?
Just an FYI, I went out there with a measuring cup. With a little spillage I came up with about 1 Qt.

Yep about 1 quart . Done this a few times when low on cash .
Made me feel better to at least change filter .

Yeah, my filter was leaking at the O ring where it mates to the block, there was already a spot on the driveway. I figured since we are getting blessed with nice weather I might as well change the filter instead of letting it leak.
Ive done some filter changes for a few friends and couldnt believe how tight the dealer guys put these on .
I had to cut the can completely off and use a chisle and hammer to get off the base .
I put mine on tight , but that was ridiculous , and not the only one I have seen like that .

I go tight and then a cinch . Never had one come loose or be welded on .
Kinda common sense isnt it . Where did the dealer get some of these guys .
