Your not going to get rid on the hiss with tuning. The only way to loose it, is to upgrade to a non-vvt. I too hated that sound.

I don't tune any of my trucks, but I have two vvt trucks and both rumble at idle. I asked the tuner if he could remove or quiet the sound when I put a exhaust on my truck and I have yet to hear it hiss...
