Newbie on wheel offsets

I have an 06 Silverado stock height and want to keep it stock height for truck pulling. How much offset can I have with an 18"? same for a 20"? haven't made my mind up if I want 18s or 20s.

Offset will be dependent on the width you decide to go with

For example most 20x9 will be "0" offset. Most 20x10 are around -24.

Lots of options in a 9 and 10 wide, a lot of 10x brands don't go lower the a -19. 9x you can find positive all the way to a -12...I'm sure there's bigger offset, just not very common...I ran 20x9 with a -12 on my 05, t bolts all the way out and drop shacked in the back. Very minor trimming. Good luck, post up some pics with what you decide

What kind of trimming did you do to fit those?

I had to cut some of the liner out and cut and folded the pinch weld back than very slightly trimmed the bumper. I only rub on full lock backing up and also rubbed the washer reservoir but I moved that further forward as well. I'm running 305-50-20

You can make anything fit. Just depends on how bad you wanna make it fit

Here is my old setup, -12..no bolts, front is slightly wider then rear from the control arms flexed out.
